Alpine/Jackson Meets

Hey Gators!!!

This week we will practice on MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY. Here is an update on this week's meets. Thursday we will swim at Alpine. See events tab for pool location. Our warmup will be from 4:00-4:20. The sign up for the meet should be completed by Tuesday at 5 pm. Swimmers can register for three individual events. There is not a lot of seating at Alpine, so I do recommend bringing chairs. Guppies will swim around 5:05 and the meet will begin around 5:15.

Saturday morning we will swim in Jackson, AL. Jackson would like us give them a count so that they can get lifeguards so please go ahead and register if you plan to attend by Tuesday at 5pm. We typically warm up around 8/8:30 in Jackson.

Jackson Meet Registration

I do not have information about this year's meet but this is the info from last year. THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Jackson has a spring-fed pool with inflatables and other activities that will be available after the meet. This meet is so much fun! See the pics at the bottom. There is a charge to attend. Swimmers are $5 and all other attendees are $10. They accept cash only. Please have correct change if possible. We will have a large team tent but you may want to bring a tent, chairs, and plenty of food and drinks. Many families stay for the day after the meet. It is a lot of fun!

POOL RULES:

No alcohol

No smoking

No pets

No tents on the side with the main sidewalk

Directions: HWY 43 exit Creola. Take HWY 43 to Jackson. After crossing the Tombigbee River, turn right onto HWY 177 (1st road on the right). Follow HWY 177 for approx. 3 miles. Turn right at the at the first red light. Turn left at the stop sign, then turn right onto Vanity Park Drive. Follow this road into the park.
